Composition of a Crew
A crew consists of a minimum two (2) to a maximum of seven (7) members. The members of the crew may be made up of any combination of males and females. The dancers may carry any citizenship and do not need to have residence in Finland.
Age Divisions
Minimum age 15 years at the day of the competition.
Dance styles
All styles within street dance (Old School Hip Hop, Hip Hop Newstyle, B-boying, House, Locking, Popping, Krumping, Wacking, Vogue, Afro Street, Street Jazz etc.) are allowed. The choreography can include only one or any combination of street dance styles.
The Routine’s Length
- The routine’s length is max. three (3) minutes. At the final in Tokyo the maximum length of the performance is five (5) minutes.
Performance Music Requirements
- The routine must be performed, in its entirety, to music selected and prepared by the crews.
- Please, bring two (2) copies of your competition music on CD. Each CD will have only 1 track that corresponds to the music of your show and no other material. On the cover of the CD should be clearly marked the name of your crew and whether your start your show “on stage” or “off stage”.
Competition Area
- The competition area is 10 x 10 m (on stage).
- Same scenic conditions for all groups: no particular scenery, no particular play of light and no extra dance accessories (that are not part of your clothing).
Registration fee: 30 € / dancer
The competition will be videotaped and photographed. By sending the registration the contestant grants the organizer the rights to use any video or photo material of the contestant for organizer’s own or commercial purposes.
Advance check-in is mandatory for all competitors. The registration fee is payable (in cash) during check-in.

Rights to schedule changes reserved.
The winners of Helsinki Dance Delight will have their travel expenses to the final in Tokyo covered by the organizer. Travel arrangements will be run through the Finnish Street Dance Federation (no exceptions!).)
The winners will be awarded with trophies and all finalists will receive diplomas.
The competitors are not insured by the competition organizer.
